Worship Wednesday – A Match Made in Heaven!

Today is Worship Wednesday, hosted by myself and my friend Vanessa at  Happy Days at Home.  We started Worship Wednesdays as a way to uplift you in the middle of the week, and hopefully you’ll discover some wonderful new songs to add to your playlists!

In honor of their recently announced engagement, today’s Worship Wednesday is a song sung by Kari Jobe & Cody Carnes!!

I cannot tell you how thrilled and excited I am for these two phenomenal worship leaders.  I just know that God has anointed both of them, and their marriage, to do amazing things for His kingdom!  I have been blessed to be led in worship at Gateway Church by both Kari & Cody for many years.  Cody is currently the worship leader at Gateway in Scottsdale, AZ; and Kari leads worship at the Southlake campus when she’s not touring.

This has been one of my favorite songs for a LONG time. I’d heard it sung by Jesus Culture and I was so happy to find Kari’s cover of it on her new album Majestic (Live).  It’s a wonderful song for any time of day.  No matter where you are, you can invite the presence of the Holy Spirit in.  If you are having an awesome day  where everything is going great – put this song on, and feel your gratitude deepen. If you are having a rough day – put this song on, let His presence fill you, and help you put your focus on God.

And, on a personal note, it’s at the top of my labor & delivery playlist (which should be utilized very soon!) I most definitely want to invite the Holy Spirit’s presence into the birth suite as I prepare to deliver our sweet baby boy!

Here are the lyrics:

There’s nothing worth more that will ever come close
No thing can compare, You’re our living hope
Your presence, Lord

I’ve tasted and seen of the sweetest of loves
Where my heart becomes free and my shame is undone
Your presence, Lord

Holy Spirit, You are welcome here
Come flood this place and fill the atmosphere
Your glory, God, is what our hearts long for
To be overcome by Your presence, Lord

I’ve tasted and seen, of the sweetest of loves
Where my heart becomes free, and my shame is undone
By Your presence, Lord

Let us become more aware of Your presence
Let us experience the glory of Your goodness

I pray you have a blessed week!

Amy
