Motivation Monday!

SHOP

I’m going to make Mondays “Motivation Mondays” because I believe God has called each one of us to a special purpose and a calling, and sometimes we get so wrapped up in the everyday things of life that we can lose sight of that and we can get discouraged.

There are SO many motivational speakers out there – Darren Hardy, Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn, Sarah Robbins, Dani Johnson – I’m going to start culling from them, and just sharing tidbits of the best of my favorite teachings from them. To help motivate you to acheive your goals, whatever they may be.

And my prayer, personally for myself,  is that my desires will always line up with God’s purpose and will for my life. For a long time I  didn’t set big goals because I was so focused on thinking  “well God whatever you want for my life is what I will do” – but now I’m learning that I need to set goals, because that’s the only way I’m truly going to achieve any of the purposes God has set for me.

I’m learning that as long as I continually stay in the Word, and praying to God that my heart will always align with His, and that my purposes will align with His, then I can be assured that I won’t go wrong; I won’t go off on my own path, or go off the deep end to do something I shouldn’t – because if I’m staying in the Word and praying and making sure that He uses the Holy Spirit to put His desires, hopes and dreams in my heart to accomplish His will and His purpose, then by proxy, the goals that I come up with WILL be aligned with God’s purpose for my life.

So anyhow, as I start the Motivational Monday series, please know that this is with the intent to help you (and me!) go further and achieve your dreams and whatever purpose God has called you to for your life.

To kick this off, I’m going to share a very quick video (you’ll see in a previous post here, that another favorite of mine is nearly 2 hours!)  – this one is just three minutes so you *definitely* have the time to watch it!!

This is an excerpt from an excellent 4-hour training that Jim Rohn did in Dallas, Texas back in the 90’s. It’s still applicable today! (and I’m sure I’ll post on that training in the future!) If you’ve never heard Jim Rohn, you’re in for a treat. He’s full of wisdom and he’s just plain awesome!

One step. And then another. And another. Diligence and hope. Living in the present with vision on the future. Being content and also having hope. Good stuff Amy. Thanks for sharing~!
